Welcome to Dancers International (version beta 2.1) Bug fixes at at the video library There have been some bug fixes at the video library today. It should not have affected those who are viewing the site but if you notice something strange happening (e.g. your browser can't find a page for few seconds) then then the reason is just that the site is being updated. There will be smaller updates trough the week to make the library run smooth. Also some parts of the Information- section has been updated.
Remember that the site is totally FREE and you can only enjoy all of the features when you are logged in! It takes only a minute to register and then you can access all of our auditions, complete library and videos.
Support us in Facebook and invite your dancer friends to our group. It takes only a moment for you but is a huge help for us.
I've decided to re-design Dancers.in and I would like to have some feedback from the dancers who use it. The audition calendar hasn't been updated for some time and to make it even more active than before it will be possible for companies to add and edit their own auditions in future trough a company account.
If you have some feedback about what to keep and what to scrap, please tell me about it!
The goal for me is to create an ultimate information database for dancers and if I will not succeed then let us all return to the impossible-to-use websites and auditionlistings in the future!
The year 2008 has been a good year for Dancers International. Here are few facts from the past year;
- 263 new auditions added to the calendar (over 50 more auditions than 2007) - 1015 new members who have created an account - Most online; 38 members (2008-06-22)
And last but not least
- Nearly 120.000 visitors (compared to 15.000 visitors in 2007) - Roughly 7 million hits
And for those who are interested of the technical statistics here are some for you;
- Bandwidth for the year 2008 was around 80GB which is quite a lot when you think that the complete weight for the whole site is around 120MB. That includes 75MB in graphics and other files and around 45MB in the database. The database's 40MB adds up to 125.574 lines of continuous text and the creates the approximately 1600 pages of information Dancers International features. During the year 2008 approximately 750.000 pages was shown.
The site has had a steady grow in the number of visitors peaking at December with almost 17.000 dancers viewing the site.
Hopefully this positive grow keeps on going during this year! Thank you for everyone who have visited the site!

Dancers International wishes Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone! Hopefully everyone is going to have a great coming year and a lot of success in dance!
The audition calendar has been updated again and is now featuring almost 80 auditions!
