Bug fixes at at the video library
There have been some bug fixes at the video library today. It should not have affected those who are viewing the site but if you notice something strange happening (e.g. your browser can't find a page for few seconds) then then the reason is just that the site is being updated. There will be smaller updates trough the week to make the library run smooth. Also some parts of the Information- section has been updated.

North Carolina Dance Theatre and North Carolina Dance Theatre 2 Auditions

North Carolina Dance Theatre annually holds open auditions for the Company and North Carolina Dance Theatre 2 in Charlotte, North Carolina. This audition is intended for classically trained dancers who have performing experience with a professional company.

For the 2009-2010 season, audition information is as follows:

When: Sunday, January 25, 2009
Registration to begin at: 3 PM
Audition time: 3:30-5 PM

When: Sunday, February 15, 2009
Registration to begin at: 3 PM
Audition time: 3:30-5 PM

When: Sunday, March 29, 2009
Registration to begin at: 11 AM
Audition time: 12-3: PM

When: Sunday, April 19, 2009
Registration to begin at: 11 AM
Audition time: 12-3 PM

Day of Audition
On the day of the audition, applicants should bring:

* A $10 audition fee (cash or check made payable to North Carolina Dance Theatre)
* Resume
* Headshot and full body dance photo
* Proper ballet attire required, including pointe shoes for women

Video Auditions
If you are unable to attend open auditions we do accept video auditions. Make sure your video includes a brief introduction of yourself, a classical variation and contemporary work (this can be filmed improvisation in the studio). Please do not include performance footage. In addition, send your resume, a headshot, and a full body dance photo.

Company Class Auditions
Company class auditions are by invitation only. If you would like to be considered for a company class audition please send a video that includes a brief introduction of yourself, a classical variation and contemporary work along with your resume, a headshot, and a full body dance photo to the above address. Please do not include performance footage.
