Bug fixes at at the video library
There have been some bug fixes at the video library today. It should not have affected those who are viewing the site but if you notice something strange happening (e.g. your browser can't find a page for few seconds) then then the reason is just that the site is being updated. There will be smaller updates trough the week to make the library run smooth. Also some parts of the Information- section has been updated.

About the site:
The idea behind Dancers.in was to create a site where dancers can find information what they need from the same site and with easy layout. The main priorities were that all the information had to be searchable and to create an easier way to view audition information. To achieve this we created a calendar for the auditions and a search engine for the whole site. To access the calendar and take the full advance of the search you have be registered and logged in.
Dancers.in staff:
Matti Silfer   Matti Silfer - Administrator and creator of Dancers International

 Matti is a professional dancer coming from Finland and educated in the Royal Swedish Ballet School in Stockholm, Sweden. He has been dancing all around the world, from Japan to Chile, and is right now dancing in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Winner of the Mora International Ballet Competition in Sweden, also won the Audience first choice -price.

Winner of the men's class in International Ballet Competition of Grasse, France (Concours International de Danse Classique de Grasse)

Receiver of Pro Dance prize in Finland

All the code you see in this page have been done by him in PHP together with MySQL, JavaScript, XML, CSS, Flash and Actionscript 2.0.

He speaks fluent Finnish, Swedish and English but also understands Danish and Norwegian and has been studying Russian for 3 years.

All the auditions and the rest of the content in our library is added by the staff or by members who are helping us.
Dancer census:
Our dancer census is filled with information what we get from members profiles. When you are adding your real name to the profile you will be added automatically to the census. If you remove your name from the profile you will still be in the census but instead of the name you will see "name removed".
How to help us?:
You can help us by spreading the word about the site. If you are in a school or company you can print out our advert and hang it somewhere where others can see it. Download it as PDF (2,8mb ZIP- format), JPG or as TEXT.

If you wish to support us you can attach a little banner to Myspace or to your own homepage. Copy the code below and paste it to the location you wish to have it.
